SUMMARY:Free 2-Day Scientific Computing with "R" Workshop 3/3-4
DESCRIPTION:Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools\, including program design\, version control\, data management\, and task automation. SUMMARY:Introductory IBM Cognitive Cloud Academy Workshop for UM Community 3/4
DESCRIPTION:On March 4th\, the University of Miami will host a half-day IBM Cognitive Cloud Academy Workshop. The workshop will provide an overview of IBM’s academic programs\, an introduction to IBM Cloud\, Services for Data & AI\, and Processing infrastructure. These services and infrastructure can be used to support a wide range of AI and cognitive-based research projects and curricula. The workshop will end with a project planning clinic\, whereby faculty can discuss proposed projects. \nAll University of Miami faculty\, students\, and staff are welcome to attend on Friday\, March 4\, 12:00-3:30 PM\, via Zoom. \nRegister Now\nThe goal of the workshop is to train a number of cognitive and cloud practitioners\, educators\, and students\, whose projects and curricula IBM will continue to support through additional targeted education\, required cloud services & resources\, and various university relations programs.
