SUMMARY:2-day Software Carpentry-R Workshop 11/10-11 at Medical Campus
DESCRIPTION:Software Carpentry helps researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools\, including program design\, version control\, data management\, and task automation\, as well as a segment on Data Ethics. \nParticipants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. \nSyllabus with Instructions | Registration Closed (course is full)\nFor more information on what we teach and why\, please see our paper “Best Practices for Scientific Computing”. \nWho The course is aimed at graduate students and other researchers. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop. \nWhere Rooms 710 R&Q\, Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute\, Don Soffer Clinical Research Center\, 1120 NW 14th St.\, Miami\, FL 33136.
