Gang Ren joined the University of Miami Institute for Data Science and Computing (formerly the “Center for Computational Science”) in March 2016 and was a part of the Big Data Mining & Data Analytics team as a Postdoctoral Associate. Gang was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science.

Coming from a family of restauranteurs, he’s a foodie who loves to share his knowledge of and appreciation for good food. He and his wife WenJing “Jenny” enjoy trying the best Chinese restaurants across the country, and are often spotted walking for exercise in the Gables.
