The annual Big Data Conference has, historically, been a half-day presentation in the afternoon, followed by a early evening networking reception. This year, the event is expanding! We’ll kick off the event with a network reception the night before and then join us for exciting speakers and panels as they discuss cutting-edge topics.
The Big Data Conference began in September of 2016 as an IDSC collaboration with co-founders Prof. Joseph Johnson from the Miami Herbert Business School and Prof. Mitsu Ogihara from the Department of Computer Science. The 6th annual and 2nd virtual Big Data Conference was held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, 2:00-5:00 PM (Catch the Replay). Keynote Speaker Michael Mylrea kicked off with an in-depth discussion of “Creative Destruction” and the effects of Big Data, blockchain, AI, and real-time analytics on organizational change. The Conference featured other guest speakers, including some of the top industry leaders in innovation, business, and technology from local, national, and international arenas.
