IDSC is excited to host the Machine Learning Meetup Group for a hands-on workshop on extracting information from scientific publication metadata. Join us on Saturday, January 20th, for a deep dive into a subset of the Semantic Scholar dataset:  labs.semantic scholar.org/corpus, which represents papers in computer science, neuroscience and biomedical sciences.

The meetup will start with an open discussion of the types of questions that can be answered with the provided data, followed by breaking out into small groups to implement a quick prototype of a machine learning algorithm that can help answer the questions of interest.

Please bring your laptop and power supply!
