Social Systems Informatics presents Brian Uzzi 2/14/2018
The CCS Members interested in Social Systems Informatics (led by Program Director Daniel Messinger) have launched a Speaker Series. As the first guest, the group is pleased to present a trio of events around Brian Uzzi: The main event, a TALK on 2/14 entitled “Knowledge and Social Networks that Predict Breakthroughs and Professional Success in Science and Technology” will be preceded by a JOURNAL CLUB session on 2/12, and a ROUND TABLE with Prof. Uzzi earlier in the day on 2/14. (Please Note: Prof. Uzzi will not be present for the 2/12 journal club session.)
Brian Uzzi is a globally recognized scientist, teacher, consultant, and speaker on leadership, social networks, and new media. Prof. Uzzi is the Richard L. Thomas Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at the Kellogg School of Management (Professor, Management and Organizations), and Professor of Sociology and Professor of Engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University.
