As part of a School of Architecture studio course, students recently spent a week in Barranquilla, Colombia, visiting residents in some of the city’s informal settlements and oldest neighborhoods. Then, they return to the Coral Gables campus to begin designing structures that could help revitalize those areas and address the impacts of climate change.
