You are invited to attend the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) Bioinformatics workshop “Advanced Computing for Biomedical Science—Resources Available to UM Researchers”. Sponsored by the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Core Facility, the workshop will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at the Sylvester Support Services Building (SSSB) Auditorium, located at 1430 NW 11th Avenue, Miami 33136 (click for map).

The Speaker will be IDSC Advanced Computing Director Joel Zysman. IDSC’s Advanced Computing core was founded in 2007 to serve the computational needs of UM researchers.  The Advanced Computing core operates the University’s supercomputer “Pegasus” as well as W.A.D.E. Storage Cloud, and the Bigfoot Big Data Cluster.  In this workshop, Joel will introduce participants to the free computational resources that are available at UM with a specific focus on Biomedical Research.
