Deepthi Puram joined the University Of Miami Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (formerly the “Center for Computational Science”) in 2008 as Senior Software Engineer for the Software Engineering core, and is now the Manager of the IDSC Systems and Data Engineering team. Ms. Puram has 15 years of extensive experience in leading teams through analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of software projects. Her primary focus is on implementing architecture that helps organizations effectively analyze, process, and visualize structured and unstructured data. Her areas of expertise include developing web-based applications using Java/J2EE technologies, processing data using big data technologies and implementation of interoperating information systems using a service-oriented architectural approach.

Ms. Puram has a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Osmania University in India, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Operations Management from Florida Atlantic University. She is a Certified ScrumMaster.
