Free Software Carpentry Scientific Computing Mini Workshops 6/21-24

Software Carpentry helps researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. These hands-on Python, R, Git, Github, and Bash Shell mini workshops will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation.

Free and open to University of Miami Faculty, Staff, and Students, these sessions are aimed at graduate students and other researchers. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented. Participants need a laptop with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.) with administrative privileges to pre-install the necessary  software package(s).
