Notification: Access to Gables Campus Systems Unavailable 2/5 at…

To all CCS Systems Users: A ccess to CCS systems on the Coral Gables Campus will be unavailable from 8:00 PM to midnight on Tuesday February 5th, 2019 to allow for upgrades to core network hardware. User jobs will continue to run but users will not have access to CCS services and systems in Coral Gables until the upgrade is complete. Big Data 2018 Provided a Forum for Big Data…

Students and patrons from the University of Miami (UM) and the Coral Gables community gathered at Miami Business School’s Storer Auditorium for the third annual Big Data Conference held on Thursday, December 6, 2018. IDSC Center Director Nick Tsinoremas led the organization of the Conference. Tsinoremas explained how the event got its start and said, “We had our first conference about three years ago as a joint effort between the Miami Business School and the University of Miami Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (then called “CCS” the Center for Computational Science).
