First, a little background. Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) in Turku, Finland is the only exclusively Swedish language, multi-faculty university in Finland (or anywhere outside Sweden). Looking to extend their campus into the immersive, virtual world of XR, a couple of years ago Podcast Host Tobias Andtfolk (ÅAU’s IT Projektchef, and IT Project Manager, ICT Services) bought a couple of headsets and began evaluating them with teacher and students. Ching-Hua Chuan and Team Awarded Page/Johnson Legacy Scholar Grant
A University of Miami team led by a Frost institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) core faculty member has been recognized for developing an innovative mobile application to support sustainable environmental habits. “Social media research shows that mobile technologies can be effective in delivering habit-based interventions,” said Ching-Hua Chuan, Ph.D., assistant professor of interactive media in the School of Communication and core faculty member at IDSC.
