With a little help from The U’s Pegasus supercomputer, two Rosenstiel School scientists have discovered 230 new giant viruses that shape ocean life and health. Their study revealed new insights into giant viruses and their role in marine ecosystems, and led to the creation of a now publicly shared bioinformatic tool.
